MedExpress weight-loss service review

What we verified about the MedExpress weight-loss service: its registrations, what each plan price includes and how customers rate it. We review the service only — never the medicines it supplies.

Our verdict

MedExpress is an online pharmacy service holding both a GPhC pharmacy registration and CQC registration, each linked below so you can check them on the official registers. On every weight-loss plan we list, the clinician consultation and clinical follow-up sit inside the plan price rather than being charged separately. Its published Trustpilot score is lower than some other providers we compare, so weigh that against the inclusions.

A reasonable fit if: you want the consultation and follow-up folded into one plan price, from a provider whose registrations you can verify before you start.

Affiliate disclosure: we may earn a commission if you start a consultation with some providers. It never changes our verdict, this review, or the price you pay.

At a glance.

Verified facts only. Anything we could not verify is left out rather than guessed — including a consultation fee, which MedExpress does not price separately from its plans.

How we checked MedExpress

We run the same desk checks for every provider on this site; where a check can't be completed, that detail is left off the card rather than taken on the provider's word. MedExpress gets a full review here because its registrations could be independently verified. For this review we:

  • Looked up its pharmacy registration on the GPhC register, and linked the entry so you can confirm it yourself
  • Confirmed its CQC registration for the clinical side of the service
  • Recorded whether the consultation, clinical follow-up and delivery sit inside each published plan price
  • Noted its published Trustpilot score, shown here attributed and linked, never as our own rating

Everything on this page comes from desk research: we checked MedExpress’s entries on the public registers and its published service details on 6 July 2026. We have not signed up for or used the service. Dates sit next to every fact, and we re-check on a rolling basis. Read how we compare providers →

The service, in detail.

Drawn from the checked facts above, not from the provider’s marketing.

Regulation you can verify

MedExpress operates under GPhC pharmacy registration 9012633, which we checked against the official register on 6 July 2026 — the fact box above links straight to the entry. The clinical side of the service also holds CQC registration. No CQC rating is published on our records, so we show the registration and nothing more.

What the plan price includes

This is where MedExpress is most distinctive in our dataset. Every weight-loss plan we list includes the clinician consultation in the plan price, and clinical follow-up is included on most of them. Delivery is included on most plans too, though not all — one plan we list charges delivery separately, so check the plan page before you commit. MedExpress also carries the widest set of weight-loss plan options of any provider in our current dataset.

What customers say

Its published Trustpilot score was 4.2 out of 5 when we checked on 6 July 2026. That sits below several other providers we compare, whose published scores range up to 4.7. Scores move over time, so use the link in the fact box for the current figure and read the reviews themselves rather than the number alone.

Strengths and trade-offs.

Every service has both. A trade-off is a fact to weigh, not a verdict on the provider.

Strengths

  • Consultation included in the plan price on every weight-loss plan we list
  • GPhC and CQC registrations both verified, with register links you can check yourself
  • The widest set of weight-loss plan options in our current dataset

Trade-offs

  • A published Trustpilot score below several providers we compare
  • Delivery is not included in the plan price on one of its weight-loss plans
  • Clinical follow-up is not part of every plan — check the one you choose

Who it suits — and who should look elsewhere.

Split by what you need from the service, not by any treatment.

A good fit if…

you want the consultation and clinical follow-up inside one plan price, plus both a GPhC and a CQC registration you can check on the official registers before you start.

Maybe look elsewhere if…

the highest customer score is what you weigh most, or you want delivery included on every plan. The comparison links below show how the alternatives measure up.
